How should one deal with egotistic cowokers? [closed]

One of my fellow coworkers, who is older than me, is very egotistic. (He is senior while I am junior.) He is always over confident in what he is doing, but most of the time he does not think things through. When I suggest that he does something else or ask him what he is doing, he will not answer but tells me to do as he says. I always end up being the person who cleans up his mess.

I want to know how to deal with egotistic people?
